It's getting so slow. In Sellrain, which generally has very little snow, we are slowly moving towards the average for the start of the season, but there is still practically no snow, especially on the sunny side, hence only 1 star. With some effort, the first excursions into the backcountry and the first sensible ski tours are possible, but contact with rocks is to be expected at any time.

Snow quality

Rain far up, therefore often hard and/or broken snow. A few cm of fresh snow overnight with strong winds, some hollows and gullies are well filled with soft drift snow.

Risks

Tricky. Especially where there is enough snow to walk/ski on, namely in shady, blown-in slopes, the snow cover is prone to failure. Large avalanche involving skiers on the Pirchkogel, and with the constant wind and drifts, the danger is certainly increasing.

Overall impression

1 von 5 Sterne

Christmas vacations and little snow, a bad combination

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
