Snow condition
Snow up to the car today, a few neuralgic spots are frozen or blown off. The fresh snow has helped, there is about 25cm, sometimes more at the top. All in all acceptable.
Snow quality
Must have been completely wet, then frozen through. Therefore well connected but hard. It was partly firny, but I was down before 12.00, until then it was mostly interesting hardpack training.
Risks
Old cracks visible. No other warning signs recognized, the frozen snow is compact and looked as if it had been set in concrete today.
Overall impression
Morning program, no fear of avalanches, two summits and wheat beer on the terrace of the Taubensteinhaus. Fits.
