der gr. wilde von norden, nicht mehr so gut!
Snow condition

Overall impression
Snow condition
from the wildenfeldhütte (1,700m), there is snow. from there, you can both ski up to almost the wildenfeldscharte and ski down again. it makes sense to note the corresponding snowfields during the ascent.
Snow quality
well set summer snow, even surprisingly hard due to nightly radiation (crampons are quite comfortable). on the descent, approx. 11h, the lower part was firn. in the shady, upper part, quite rough (egg carton snow, with some "melted" stones) and very hard.
Risks
safe, after a clear night. otherwise reassess.
Overall impression
in the gamswanne there is snow from about 1500m, in the wildenfeld only from 1700m. this puts the whole thing into perspective. the mission is 15km mtb, with 550hm, through the oytal, up to the käseralm (road snow-free). then about 300hm carrying skis, on quite a steep climb to the wildenfeldhütte (except for one place also snow-free, descent with mtb, possible). then there's approx. 450hm ski tour, in the ascent and in the descent. today the ascent was unpleasantly hard and i used the crampons in the upper part. the descent is certainly possible for longer, but the relation of "getting to the snow/downhill" is already quite borderline and can only be justified with mtb training. in the saddle, however, good conditions can certainly be found for longer.
