Snow condition

Sufficient for the tour. However, there is still some snow to be removed to make the descent even more flexible. The summit and ridge are completely blown off. Three stars for the tour, however, as there are virtually no foreign contacts (exposure SW-SE).

Snow quality

The approx. 20 cm to 30 cm of fresh snow was well placed and very easy to ski in areas protected from the wind. However, where the wind has left its mark, you will encounter a wind cover or icy patches.

Risks

Some massive accumulations of drift snow and atypical drifts. These danger spots were easy to spot if you had your eyes open. Under the fresh snow there was a few centimeters thick layer of ice, which was created by the rain on the weekend. Some of this could be broken, but it was also very compact in some places on the ascent. Defensive behavior is certainly very advisable at the moment!

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

Nice ski tour predominantly on meadows with unfortunately partly quite diffuse visibility (high cloud cover). Despite a very large crowd, we were able to ski our downhill variant alone in mostly good snow.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
