At the bottom it's about 15cm, but 150m further up it's a different story and you're skiing in boot-high snow. At the height of the Gamskogelhütte there is about 40 cm and at the top, depending on the wind, it was already thigh deep! If you stay on the piste, stone contact is avoidable, but I would still take the stone skis!

Quite soggy at the bottom, of course. Further up, it's still relatively damp, but with a little effort it's quite easy to ride

Risks

Great first day of skiing. I was obviously the first to come up with the idea and so I had to make my own track, which turned out to be quite tedious. At the bottom it was raining at 5 degrees as I left again!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
