Just under 3 stars, significantly less than last year in Sportgastein. You have to be careful in a few blown-off places but otherwise you can get down everywhere without any problems.
Snow quality
Wind-processed. About 10-20 cm of fresh snow. Partly wind-pressed, partly blown away, but you could ski well and in places it was quite dusty. Especially below the middle station it was really nice in the morning! less wind influence, but a bit too warm. Blows from below. From midday it was pretty much over down below, everything was wet! On the south side, the blown-off harsh tops are quite well firned up. On the north side everything was totally pressed! All in all, everything was there today.
Risks
Especially in the south to south-west sector, large-scale drifts have formed. When testing an approx. 30 degree steep south-west slope, approx. 3 meter long cracks appeared. A small snow slab came off on another slope, same expo. Probably triggered by a skier, crack 10-20 cm, 60m wide, 40m long.
Overall impression
The weather was great and the snow was also quite good, very few people!
