Overall impression
Snow condition
Very good, everything perfectly skiable. Lots of snow in Kammern and the Vallée, although not as much as 5 years ago. But that's complaining at the highest level. Back partly blown off and icy.
Snow quality
Great at the top, great at the bottom too. No wonder with -12 degrees in the morning and -4 degrees in the afternoon. Nevertheless, there are deductions compared to yesterday, because it wasn't quite as dusty as yesterday and the wind caused some of it to slump a bit. Nevertheless, powder snow from top to bottom, plenty of other good-looking slopes in the area and not a soul to be seen for miles around.
Risks
Like yesterday, today I was also able to observe some spontaneous releases on very steep slopes from 2-3 days ago. Because the temperatures are no longer quite so icy, the diurnal warming on south-facing slopes is now playing an increasingly important role.
Overall impression
Well, what can I say, the next incredibly good day in the Pyrenees. Fantastic untracked slopes everywhere, great snow. The descent was then only marred by the rather strenuous shuffling out in the lower part of the still completely untracked, fairly long Vallée de la Galbe (at 1pm, 4 days after the big snowfall) and the rarely pressed powder snow. To make sure it doesn't get any worse, new snowfall is starting this evening.
