Snow condition
The snow conditions are still very good down to the valley. However, very steep south-facing slopes below 1800m are already thawing out.
Snow quality
Still settled powder on the north side all the way down, partly with light wind cover. There was no firn above 2400, it was still too cold for that despite the strong sunshine. Otherwise it was a mixture of soft snow and a load-bearing cover.
Risks
Attention had to be paid to wind loads and the temperature curve, although not as strong as usual at this time of year.
Overall impression
Great area and great weather with a descent in good snow that had been on the list for some time. However, other expos apart from the north are not quite as recommendable at the moment, hence the star deduction.
