Gargellen - endlich war der Nordstau dort. Man möchte allerdings nicht allzuviel meckern.

The situation has improved, everything is nice and white. But appearances should not deceive. Under the white surface you occasionally come across stones. On the southern slopes, fresh snow is practically the only base.
Snow quality
Very nice for the time of year. It was easy to find fine powder and lots of fun until the lift closed. Let's leave out the fact that I got face shots on the last descent on the south-facing slopes.
Risks
The situation is really good for the amount of fresh snow. The fresh snow has settled well and is holding up very well. Nevertheless, there have been the odd slide. Some slides have come loose from steeper terrain. Some blasting has also been done in the area.
Overall impression
For some it was the season finale, for the rest it was the hope for more! Probably one of the best days in the Northern Alps this season. Everything looks wintry again and there are still one or two untracked corners to be found.
