It's bad, although in the region around the Arlberg it's probably much better than in all other areas of the northern Alps. those who move off the beaten track know their way around very well or find a lot of brown-green surprises. above 2500, a closed snow cover can be expected with difficulty.

Snow quality

lousy, even the first flakes can't make anything nice here yet. broken snow and very little soft snow in the absolute shady areas.

Risks

njä, still a 1. But it will probably go up a lot with the first abundant flakes. You can imagine that the rest of the glob lying around doesn't want to bind anything, and the forest absolutely needs water. Fireworks were initially banned because of the increased risk of forest fires.

At least it's been snowing for an hour or two now. Still feels rather unreal. Keep your fingers crossed that there will be a cosmetic overlay by tomorrow. happy new powder year to you all!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
