Snow condition
The northern exposures are still going well (up to approx. 1000 m) and the southern exposures are getting tight or hardly possible (longer walking time). The snowfall since Thursday has at least made it look like winter again. Let's see what else happens this week.
Snow quality
Around 10 cm to a maximum of 20 cm of fresh snow on a hard surface. Nice to ride in the early morning, but the snow quickly became heavier as the day progressed. Towards midday, the slopes were nice to ski on when you finally didn't have to slide around on ice. Spring also has its advantages :).
Risks
The day progressed quite quickly today. By late morning, we could already see a few chutes emerging from the steeper, sunny terrain. An early start and an early finish to the off-piste activities. The influence of the wind during the last snowfall was clearly visible in the summit areas. In the wind-protected forest, there was sometimes a bottomless, gritty base.
Overall impression
Nice morning, few people and great weather.
