Bivio Condition Update
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
The area has very little snow on average. Therefore, contact with stones is usually unavoidable. Most of the valley runs up to 1700m are doable with caution, from 2100m the area is so snow-covered that you can usually enjoy the descent throughout. But watch out for stones here too!
Snow quality
approx. 30 powder snow on a hard, windy surface, mostly blown away by strong winds from the southwest
Risks
The fresh snow of the last few weeks lies on a hard snow surface that has been heavily affected by the wind. Some of it has been snowed in on the surface. There are pronounced weak layers on northern slopes. Caution! Avalanche level 3 problems in drifts and old snow
Overall impression
It's getting better and better. There is still little snow in the area, but the tours above 1800m can already be done. Beware of stone contact and the exposures mentioned in the Buletin. The trip is worth it!
