Snow condition

The 3rd descent is great to ski and the section above the Umbrüggler Alm is even groomed. The 2nd descent looked rather rocky at the bottom, but further up it's great anyway, the pines are well snow-covered for the time of year and you can ski pretty much anything from the Hafelekar down.

Snow quality

The approx. 10-15cm of fresh snow from the previous night was of course not enough to cover the old tracks with snow. However, the tracks were relatively soft and the snow very powdery, even surprisingly deep where there were no tracks.

Beware of sliding snow avalanches! (See pictures)In the lower part of the Direttissima, there is a fairly large snow slide. You can also see a crack in the eastern slope. To the west of the Seegrube there are also a few large sliding snow mouths, most of which have not yet come down.

Overall impression

Unfortunately, the clouds hung on the Nordkette for longer than we had hoped. So one moment there was sunshine, good visibility and the next moment bad visibility again. In the course of the afternoon, it then cleared up completely, making for the best run of the day at the end :)
