Overall, the snow conditions are decent, you could ski from the Rofanspitze south to Wiesing (600m, still 20-30cm of snow) and that's really not always possible. However, there is less than average snow on the south side at higher altitudes, but skiing is possible with almost no ground contact. What's more, the wind has blown ridges and backs clear.

Unfortunately not as good as at the beginning of the week. The last snowfalls were a few days ago and the wind has done a great job. Above the tree line, you'll find a rather unpleasant windswept surface. Below the tree line there is still good powder.

Risks

On our downhill route (south-facing throughout, 30-35 degrees), the snow seemed quite stable and there were no particular incidents.

Beautiful classic tour in fantastic weather. Very nice day, even if the focus was more on the overall experience and nature than pure downhill fun. PS: I have now specified "Nordkette" as the region here, as there was no category Achensse/Rofan or similar...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
