Snow condition

A start at 1100 m is still possible on the west side. How long this will still work depends on the temperatures. There are already some patches of snow, especially in the sun-exposed steeper areas. From about 1400 m, the snow conditions still look quite good. We were able to start the tour from the car today without any problems and ski down to the top again.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

On the ascent, there was a load-bearing melted snow cover. To the southeast, the snow had already started to form at around 8:30 a.m.; in the summit regions, the formation of snow was delayed somewhat by the wind. To the southwest, it didn't start to firn up until around 10 am. We skied the upper part twice in firn. The still frozen patches in the shade were limited. Bottom line: 3 stars.

Risks

Classic spring conditions, start early and finish early. We were back at the car at 10:30 am.

Overall impression

Nice morning in the firn with good visibility.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
