Snow condition

The snow conditions at 1200m are already very good, there is easily 1-1.5 m of snow. At just under 2000m it should be around 2m. Snowfall all day with temperatures around 0 degrees.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

In the morning, still fairly fluffy with increasing altitude, unfortunately warming up during the day. From midday onwards, below 1700m it was more cardboardy than fluffy. 2 degrees cooler and there would have been 4 stars.

Risks

We were also unable to observe any avalanche activity. However, most of the lifts were closed due to avalanche danger, and rightly so. LLB 3: Caution is still advised!

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

This was also the first really deep powder day this winter. Unfortunately, the options were limited due to the few lifts that were open and the snow got pretty heavy around midday. But for someone from the Black Forest, that's complaining on a high level this winter.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
