A lot has melted in the last week. It is possible to start skiing at 1400-1500 meters. Above 1800 meters there is still enough snow

Just ..... the last few nights were clear. So a hard snow cover in the morning starting at 6:00 am. In a small time window until about 11:00 am good and in places mega firn. Best firn between 2800-1900 meters. Below that it got a bit softer and those who were too late had to deal with a snow swamp.

Risks

Early Bird - early start back in the valley. Spring touring time! Some, sometimes massive, wet snow / sliding snow has already come down. The daily warming caused the danger to increase. Those who set off early were in the safe area.

Started with no expectations and then found great firn. Pictures (c) Martin Hoelle

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
