Snow condition

There is almost nothing left of last week's snow. On top of that, a good 10 cm of fresh snow - often very unevenly distributed due to the wind - this weekend

heavier powder in places where the wind is calm, further up wind-pressed and still cold, in some places almost hard-packed in the ridges.

Risks

Even sliding snow avalanches are actually impossible due to the fact that the snow cover is not yet really cohesive. With the possible exception of steep, very even meadow slopes.

Overall impression

Almost every turn was in contact with the ground, many of them with stones. Never skied more than three connected turns before having to find the way to the next patch of snow, where the smoothest surface was suspected. A piste tour without stones would have been the better choice today, but if you can't take it anymore, head west; everyone else: Hang in there!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
