Good for November and especially in comparison to previous years. Descent possible down to the valley at 1700 m above sea level. You have to be careful on the descent as the base is still thin. Around 15cm of fresh snow on the mountain in sheltered areas. Lots of wind influence. Backs and ridges are blown away. But otherwise quite good freeride possibilities. Actually all variants up to the middle station are skiable. Not too much snow, but stones are mostly easily recognizable.

No longer top due to the wind, but cool to ride. In English you would say chalky. There is very little powder, but you can assess many of the variations in terms of stones very well. Due to the crowds, the tracked off-piste area is much easier to ski than the (mogul) slopes.

Risks

Above all, watch out for the rocks. On the glacier, still watch out for the crevasses, which are not yet closed. We also saw a slide from extremely steep, south-facing terrain. In general, however, there's still not much snow, but you still have to be careful because of all the wind.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

Cool that you can already ride so many variants. Unfortunately, 1000 e people, which tarnish the overall picture somewhat. Still 3 stars due to the possibilities.
