Snow condition
The location is very good in corners that are sheltered from the wind and are in a traffic jam. As you can now ride lines that didn't work in previous years, I could actually award 4 stars. However, when you leave this corner, it immediately gets worse, so 3 stars. When tracking (thank you Mr. Dru for tracking today) we had an average of 20 cm to 30 cm today. Our playing field today ranged in altitude from 1300 m to 1800 m.
Snow quality
Today the quality decreased somewhat as the altitude decreased. Today just scraped past the 4 stars (December was simply good!). The snow wasn't super fluffy but with a good instinct you could find pretty decent conditions.
Risks
The wind worked well above the tree line. Exposed areas were rock hard. We took a defensive approach today and didn't notice any activity. We only had sluff today. Hardly any wind influence noticeable in the sheltered area. Today's precipitation (actually the whole day) mostly came in the form of sleet. Fortunately, the warm spell was not an issue for us today.
Overall impression
Started without great expectations and still had a pretty good day. Backed the right horse today :). Now let's see how the situation develops over the next few days.
