Snow condition

From top to bottom - white gold. Descent into the fresh spring green is feasible - but recommended with stone skis. The base is no longer so thick, it is May after all!

Pure powder. Expressed in sounds: hiss hiss. You don't really need to brush your teeth. This happens automatically with first lines in the foliage and a big grin. From 11 onwards, the heat rises and as soon as a shred of sun comes out, the snow quality quickly loses its stars.

Risks

Slf issues a 3 above 2200 in all exposures for today. The Titlis remains closed. You can hear the bombs at the top. Cracks can be seen in all exposures. Mainly in the form of snow slabs. Speaking of boards - after the foliage jam, the first direct riders on the left shoot into the foliage: steep. We cross and keep right, flatter than 35°. At the bottom, we see 3 deployed airbags and some considerably large chutes in the left part of the foliage. Caution is still advised! Especially when visibility is good and spring is in full swing.

No photos of the most beautiful run... It was too beautiful! Despite the short foliage jam, there is still room for its own first lines. The sun fights its way through the mild clouds and penetrates the swirling snow dust. Magical! If it were only Run 1 - I would be 100% happy. But there are still a few more runs through rocky gullies and flanks to the lower Steingletscher. Personal highlight: May is mild. There's mutual respect and despite the many "I'm late to the office" dudes, there's no powder stress.
Plus: The visibility is 100% better than yesterday. Outlook for tomorrow: bright sunshine and certainly EVEN better visibility - but the snow cover will quickly become heavy. If the Titlis remains closed today, I recommend (despite Hannes' prediction of 12,000 Thai) the upper section tomorrow! Maybe still with face shots...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
