Snow condition

There should still be some below 1500m. Good at the top.

Snow quality

Perfect light powder on top. 30cm. Below 2000m the snow decreases sharply and becomes increasingly wet.

Risks

Some of the terrain is tricky, especially crossings where it has blown in. Nevertheless, I consider the avalanche risk in the Bernese Oberland to be significantly less serious than in Valais, the Gotthard region and the Engadine, where there were many avalanches last week (7 fatalities!). The snowpack structure is likely to be somewhat more stable here, at least at medium altitudes.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

Stays good for the time being, but it's slowly warming up and further snowfall is not in sight. A real onset of winter is urgently needed in deep regions. www.freerideguide.ch

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
