Skitour Chiemgauer: bei überraschend guten Bedingungen mit fast keinem Steinkontakt und ohne spürbaren Untergrund
Snow condition

Overall impression
Snow condition
Almost 25cm of fresh snow fell last night. Now there is an average of 75cm. But not everywhere. The wind has done a great job and ridges, ridges and exposed areas from 1500m to 1800m are often blown off and covered in snow. Had 2 rock contacts today. I was very surprised about that. That's why you can also unpack the better slats if you can cope with one or two scratches. I didn't get through the surface once today. The main reason for this is probably a layer that is a bit more compact, probably the snow from last night.
Snow quality
There were two noses of white powder. Great skiing at all altitudes. Mostly a bit more compact than the last few days. It was still really dusty in the forest. Something between 3 and 4 stars.
Risks
Wind signs were visible. No other signs of danger. (No cracks, no settling noises etc.) Drift snow was visible. But I think that this was often covered by the following snow. The wind died down this morning and during the course of the day there was almost no wind with steady snowfall.
Overall impression
A very good day for snow depth and winter. Unfortunately very poor visibility today. Good snow conditions on Mühlhörndl. Geigelstein, on the other hand, has some blown-off areas, but there are enough areas with snow. You can ski down to the parking lot in Huben without contact with the rocks. Additional info: The cross-country ski trail in Sachrang is completely groomed as far as Huben, the toboggan run to the Prienerhütte is groomed and sledges are available for hire, the Kampenwandbahn will probably open tomorrow and is already being groomed. It's actually a shame that it got dark then.
