Snow condition

significantly less than yesterday in kl. walsertal. without a ski slope, no reasonable descent down the valley is possible, and only on the north side. on the south side, the slopes are mostly free of snow again. above 1500m, even in the terrain, almost free choice of line is possible.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

still beautiful pow on the north side, today everything from ice to firn on the south side. but as soon as you leave the expo s, it doesn't get any better. in the meantime, almost everything is covered with snow, especially in the south expo s, it's already arable to rough on the descent.

Risks

the tiroler 2er is ok. today we have neither chutes (loose snow from sunny flanks nor any sliding snow chutes) nor large accumulations of drifting snow, note. in the ridge area a strong southerly wind, below transport strength.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne

weather sensational, spring tour on new year's day, everything totally rutted, snow conditions decreasing. for this there's only 2 stars and it needs fresh snow.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
