You have to carry everywhere, sometimes more, sometimes less. If you choose the right route, you can ski down to around 1100 - 1200m on the shaded side, but sometimes it's even tight above that. From approx. 1400-1500m there is still continuous snow cover on the shaded side.

Oh yes, quite funny. Deeply soaked, very compact in the lower areas. But reasonably quick to ride (would still advise waxing, especially later on) and the snow line was around 1900m. As I stayed just below that, I can't report anything about fresh snow apart from a few longing flakes...

Risks

Low in the lower areas with a moderate incline. Very compact old snow, but it's a different story on steeper slopes. I actually wanted to ski a medium-steep trench, which still looked very compact and rutted when I climbed up next to it, but on the first turn a wet section slid right down to the bare ground. At higher altitudes, the fresh snow and strong NNW winds made it tricky due to the snow drifts.

I give the second star because it was also kind of funny - wet is not an expression at all... But nothing going on, a nice gloomy atmosphere and at least no cardboard snow. The main thing was to be outside and make a few turns in the snow, then it was fine. Too bad, a few degrees less and we would have had a beautiful winter day. I just hope all this stuff dries out by tomorrow... If I find fresh snow, I'll report back tomorrow.
