Really below average for Sölden. Stone contact is still to be expected. Only on the glacier the snow conditions are okay. Today, March 1st, it started to snow a little, unfortunately it was max. 1cm.

Snow quality

Yesterday (Saturday) was good. On the north side you could still find fine powder snow. On the south side, however, there was often a layer of hard snow. Yesterday 3 stars, for today I would only give 2 stars. In the valley, the snow became relatively heavy around midday.

Risks

According to the LLB, there was a 2/3 warning level yesterday. The problem here was once again the wind. With good observation, the drifting snow packs can be easily recognized. The whole thing got worse today. From tomorrow it will probably be really critical. The weather forecast brings 20cm of fresh snow with wind force 7

What a fun day yesterday. However, due to the poor visibility and the wind, today was all about sliding down the slopes. Pictures are from 28.02.15
