Snow condition
The snow conditions still leave a lot to be desired. Approx. 10 cm of fresh snow. At lower altitudes, the ground is just long enough. Quite ok in the forest. Above the tree line often blown off. You still have to watch out for streams. Some of them are still open.
Snow quality
Sheltered from the wind in the forest quite high up, usable loose powder snow and still plenty of untracked terrain. Often blown off above the tree line. In wind-protected hollows, however, loose powder can be found.
Risks
A few old avalanches (before the fresh snow) were visible. Above the tree line, I also observed a few small boards at terrain transitions with drift snow.
Overall impression
All in all, a good day. If there hadn't already been another opinion here, I would have tended to give 4 stars. Maybe I was at the other end of the Kitzbühel Alps...
In the morning still partly cloudy and bitterly cold wind, but then sunny in the afternoon. With good local knowledge, it was possible to find untracked terrain. Especially in the upper forest area it was a lot of fun. And tomorrow will certainly be another good day.
