Snow condition

3 von 5 Sterne

Sufficiently good snow conditions on the slopes up to 2000m. Downhill skiing possible on an artificial snow band. The terrain is good to very good up to approx. 2200m. There are hardly any stones left, with the odd rock still peeking out. Above 2200 m there was another 15-20 cm of fresh powder from the last few days on top of a relatively good base.

We actually only spent time on the Gemsstock between 2200m and 2900m and the quality here was very good.

Risks

SLF has issued a 3 with reference to wind and corresponding accumulations of drift snow. You can sign off on that. The wind has increased during the course of the day and will have a considerable influence, especially in the next few days. A large snow slab has come loose at around 2600m in the north-east sector without any external influence.

It was a great day of skiing, with better snow than expected, better weather than expected and better company than expected :)

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
