Snow report Upper Bavaria, 02/01/2015
Nach einer Woche in Obertauern war ich heute mal wieder in heimischen Gefilden unterwegs. Die Grundlage ist gut, die ca. 20 cm Neuschnee der letzten nach waren dennoch recht schnell zerfahren.

Snow condition
After last week's heavy snowfall, the base is absolutely fine. However, you can tell that there was a lot of off-piste skiing at the weekend. The 20 cm of fresh snow from tonight is not enough to prevent you from getting through to the quite hard old snow cover. In leeward locations, the whole thing is much deeper and easier to ski. But be careful, the fresh snow/drifted snow is quite prone to disruption!!!!!
Snow quality
The fresh snow is still very fluffy and not very compact.
Risks
The LLB states a moderate avalanche danger below the tree line. Nevertheless, it must be said that in steeper passages on leeward slopes above 35 degrees, the snowpack tears quite easily. However, the old snow cover is quite stable. Nevertheless, take care!!!!!!!!!!
Overall impression
Good day/morning today. There were a few nice descents. Although many slopes were quickly tracked and the hard ground under the fresh snow didn't make the freerider's heart go completely crazy ;-)
