Up to approx. 1700m, the snow conditions are sufficient to find a path in the snow. Below that, especially in the denser forest, it is much more difficult. Especially since the precipitation of the last few days was still rain at the beginning. In general, many bumps in the terrain have not yet been filled with snow and many mountain pines are not yet covered in snow (see photos of the Strimskogel and the south-western slopes towards Flachauwinkel). The classic Treerauns are skiable, but no longer..... The amount of fresh snow was manageable. About 20cm on the mountain. A little less in the valley.

Still good and powdery at first. It stayed that way on the north-facing slopes above 1700m. But then the foehn and the warm temperatures quickly made themselves felt.

Risks

According to LLB 2, difficult to estimate as the wind has transported a lot of fresh snow. I can't say how well this has settled again due to the higher temperatures. There were a few loose snow avalanches triggered by skiers, but no snow slabs.

There were a few good runs. If you were a bit more hiked, you could also use a few north-facing slopes. But when I think of previous days at the same time of year, I can't give it more than 2 stars. PRAY for SNOW!!!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
