Snow condition
There is no continuous, closed snow cover. On the sunny side there is no snow at all up to over 2,000 m and on the shady side there are partial areas - sometimes larger, sometimes smaller. But it is almost never much more than 30 cm.
Snow quality
The slopes were already soft on the sunny side and frozen on the shaded side in the morning. It was quite nice to ski until midday, but then it became increasingly slushy and the bumps grew and grew ... Off-piste it's a nasty cardboard with challenging tops.
Risks
The warming has caused some sliding snowslides from extremely steep terrain. But there is a lack of snow here for larger avalanches. Potential danger spots are very localized and easy to recognize.
Overall impression
There were a few nice turns on the piste. No more and no less. I can't even imagine what Christmas skiing will look like here today. Alternative sports are certainly more interesting at the moment. With this in mind: Merry Christmas. We'll just have to wait for the snow ...
