We were mainly out in the forest today and the snow conditions there were pretty good. With increasing altitude towards the tree line it was really good, we had no contact with the enemy in this area today (3 stars). From 1400 m downwards there are still some vegetables in the way or roots are not yet well snowed in (2 stars). You should still be very careful there. All in all, a very good 2 stars.
Snow quality
The fresh snow (around 30 cm) lay unbound in the north and east exposures. Fantastic to ski in temperatures below freezing. If there hadn't been any minimal settling, it would have been 5 stars. Complaining at a very high level :).
Risks
Quite relaxed here. No wind influence at all in the sheltered forest terrain and the fresh snow lies on a solid base with little tension. In steeper sunny exposures, you could recognize old small loose snow avalanches, which probably came off during the mild phase before the cold period. You should be careful after the next snowfall as the nodules (including larger ones) are frozen, risk of injury.

Yes, is it Christmas today? Not quite, but very close!
