Snow condition
The rain (up to at least 2,000 m) has left nothing of the powder. Today's "spring heat" has helped. Snow conditions, even in the valley (approx. 800m), are (still) absolutely sufficient. No stone or ground contact on the descent. On the south side, however, things are already looking pretty poor. There are already a lot of loose patches and some sliding snow slopes that have exposed the turf.
Snow quality
The Pow is "yesterday's snow" up to at least 2,000m today, clear plus degrees and very sunny. There was some deep slush, which was still enjoyable to ride, but was already clearly "slowing down". The classic wet snow rolls were also created during the turns, which rolled down the slope a little while still "building themselves up". In the shade, it was a bit icy again in the afternoon.
Risks
According to the Lawi Tirol and Bavaria, it was a triple today, with drifting snow, sliding snow and wet snow. I can confirm the last two. I haven't found any more fresh drift snow. It's now also turned into wet snow. At least below 2,000m, in all exposures. However, the situation remains quite critical until all the slopes can fully unload.
Overall impression
Three stars because the weather was so nice, there were spring conditions again in January and because I didn't catch any Shark. The basis is right and if it gets to be winter now then it could be a really good season.
