Snow condition

2 von 5 Sterne

The snow conditions wouldn't be too bad. Last week it snowed a beautiful stick on the Falzergo Pass. We started our tour at an altitude of 1700m. Here the snow conditions were good and there was about 40 cm of fresh snow in the open areas and about 20-30 cm in the forest. This led us to hope for more snow at altitude. Unfortunately, the snow depth also decreased with increasing altitude, all the fresh snow was apparently blown away and one or two stones were hit.

Snow quality

2 von 5 Sterne

As already mentioned in the snow conditions, the snow quality in the forest was much better than on the open slopes. The tour was south-facing and the sun had already done a lot. It might be better on the north side if the wind wasn't raging right away.

Risks

We could make out a few small avalanche cones and some of the gullies were heavily blown in. Above the tree line, there were strong wind signs and the ridges and ridges were heavily blown down.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne

Only 2 stars as the tour disappointed us more and more with increasing altitude and the previous day's tour in the Lienz Dolomites was much better.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
