Snow condition
From around 900m there is generally still enough snow for freeriding. However, on steeper south-facing slopes, the sun can make it quite rocky and gravely.
Snow quality
The absolute horror was today's Harsch (see picture) ... there was a clear layer of ice of approx. 0.5 cm to be seen in the slabs. We waited at the top of the Falken for about an hour so that the sun would hopefully turn the snow into slush, but unfortunately this didn't happen due to the clouds and made the descent quite interesting.
Risks
We could see a few ground tracks that had probably fallen in the last few days. Apart from that, the snow layer was quite stable, the snow underneath was very fluffy. On steeper south-facing slopes, the meadow beneath the snow cover started to get wet ... be careful!!!
Overall impression
Nice little tour up the Falken, which is more scenic and earns the sun window two stars.
