Status at the end of October: Not much snow. The fresh snow, around 10 cm, makes it look like winter. However, skiing is out of the question next to the glacier area. Snow cannons were running today and thanks to them, it is also possible to ski down to the Alpincenter on a narrow slope.

Quite nice in the early morning with a layer of fresh snow. During the course of the morning, however, this was quickly scraped off and there was a mixture of ice and small piles of snow. The fog also made the snow wetter. The morning was okay for the end of October.

Risks

Due to the lack of snow, the main danger comes from stones and other skiers.

Always nice to be on skis after the summer break. Unfortunately, there was hardly any visibility, but the crowds on the glacier were limited. Let's hope for a snowy and accident-free season!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
