The snowfall in the last 36 hours has provided enough snow, only the strong wind yesterday put a stop to unadulterated powder fun. Snow-free zones alternate with overhead deep areas. Unfortunately not always downwind and therefore difficult to assess.

Still nice cold powder in the morning, the sun then led to a noticeable hardening of the snow surface in the afternoon.

Risks

I would rate this as critical. A profile dug in the lee showed almost 1.50 m of loosely blown-in powder on a hard melt cap. Accordingly, various snow slides (in some places also self-releasing) could be observed during the course of the day. The fact that blasting continued into the early afternoon hours also speaks for itself.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

Super to ski, the tense avalanche situation and the rapid change in conditions unfortunately spoiled the fun somewhat. Therefore only 3 stars.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
