Snow condition

Snow conditions rather average on the Bernina Pass. Especially on the ridge, the stones are often just under the fresh snow and so today there were one or two scratches when traversing. But you can easily guess where the stones are buried.

Snow quality

Nice, cold powder. Often influenced by the wind but really easy to ride. The sinking depth varies depending on the wind. But nowhere was it unpleasant.

Risks

Definitely something to watch out for. The drifting snow of the last few days (watch out for wind from different directions) is easy to trigger, as some cracks and floes behind the edges of the terrain showed.

Super nice day, unfortunately by engadin standards there was a lot going on and obviously some people were a bit stressed after being more or less on withdrawal for 2 months. But anyone who knows the terrain up here knows that you can always find something somewhere with little effort. All in all, it was a pretty relaxed day with good snow and great weather. But I'm still looking forward to the private powderdays in april and may again

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
