Snow condition
Hey, what are you doing? After some really fine powder came down again this week, it's all gone again. Due to the warm temperatures (daily max. 8 degrees at 1,600 m), the additional snow is gone again and the self-triggered avalanches have done the rest. Bushes and stones are clearly visible in the southern areas. Things look even better on the north side. With a lot of mercy another two...
Snow quality
The rain up to 2000m has turned the fine mudflat snow into an icy/slushy mass. The tracks from the rain are clearly visible as gullies. In the morning, the snow was still hard and icy on the north side, then pure slush in the afternoon.
Risks
The snow was heavily soaked by the rain today, which is why there were numerous slopes on the steep slopes. Releases due to explosions or self-releases can be seen in all exposures. Off-piste skiing no longer makes sense here.
Overall impression
Unfortunately, there was no more powder to be had, but the day was saved by slush skiing and the park. Conclusion: too deep, too warm.
