Klausenpass - Sehr schön!

Snow condition
More than enough snow from the top of the Klausen Pass. You can ski here for at least another 3 weeks directly from the car. Despite the "lousy" winter, the snow conditions here are better than at the same time last year.
Snow quality
Powder on top, firn on the bottom. Good.
Risks
Saturday and Sunday morning were still quite relaxed. Then it got significantly warmer than on Saturday with a corresponding increase in wet snow activity. Now it's snowing heavily again. Depending on the amount, it will be critical here again.
Overall impression
Wonderful touring weekend on the Klausen Pass. You don't want to stop like that...I Although the Whitsun weekend on Mykonos was super nice, I missed the Alps painfully, as long as something is still going on here you don't have to leave...So I'm here every year for/after the opening of the pass and can only recommend the tours, really great ambience, a range of possibilities and the incomparable mixture of "summer" and winter make the tours at the end of May and in June incomparable for me. And the good thing is that the snow conditions are still good on all the passes (=Flüela/Susten/Klausen/Oberalp/Splügen), it will continue for a while, even if it takes a bit of effort in the morning...the Rausschmeiser Furkapass isn't even open yet...
