Snow condition
Unchanged since the last visit two weeks ago. Up to 1400m, descents southwards on natural snow possible, after that it quickly becomes less. Still great further up. Sliding snow cracks everywhere where it gets steeper, which in turn makes many descents impossible. Contact with the enemy not really possible.
Snow quality
Everything was there. Ice, powder, slab powder, broken snow, powder on ice... On Saturday there was a little fresh snow that had fallen in high temperatures and wind. It looked nice - but when you ventured into the terrain you could feel the hard surface. Another 5cm of new snow today. It fell with little wind and was quite fun. However, the southeast wind was blowing a lot and the quality of the snow was very variable. When the wind calmed down on the shaded side, there was still good snow to be found.
Risks
Snow packs grew during the course of the day due to the strong south-easterly wind. Easy to recognize and you could have a lot of fun on the moderately steep off-piste terrain. Small terrain transitions could already be triggered. I wouldn't have attempted anything steeper today
Overall impression
Saturday was rather dull - but today was fun, especially in the slab powder. The sun had a lot of power. Downhill school snow parties are now on the agenda.
