Lots of snow from the Rossengasse parking lot. All north-facing descents from the ridge are fine, direct access from the summit too.
Snow quality
Snow quality very poor. There was a bit of everything today: slush, crust, wind-pressed, slab powder. Not much fun skiing today.
Risks
Be careful in the ridge area. Local fresh drift snow (very thin) at the entrance to the descents to the north.
Overall impression
A tour up the Traithen is always worthwhile. Not so much for the snow today, but for the fantastic panorama. And there wasn't much on the way either.
