Overall impression
Altitude
1000 - 1700m
Avalanche warning level
high (4)
Exposition
Snow condition
since yesterday, at 1000m, about 10cm of freshies, again with a high proportion of sleet.
Snow quality
the new snow has settled well since yesterday. it's also not so brittle anymore, at least not below 1700m. sinking depth "only" up to the knee. but that's complaining on a high level. no sun this morning and therefore, also on the south side, very nice pow.
Risks
Wind intensity: High (40 – 60 km/h)
despite the settling, the easing of the brittleness and, on the same slopes, significantly less sluff than yesterday, things remain very tense. above the tree line, strong wind from the north and basically white-out. the bayer. 4er is to be taken very seriously.
Overall impression
today, like yesterday, but with company and the sighting of deeply relaxed capercaillie (picture 2, look for the bird ;-).
