Snow condition
In the valley 20cm, at the top +/- 1 m, depending on the wind. Just about rideable below 1000, quickly becoming more above that, hence the 4 stars. It's also reasonably good in the forest. Some of the ridges are only covered by the snow without wind from yesterday and tonight.
Snow quality
Although it was cold, it was quite heavy powder and not particularly fast. Probably due to the wind and sleet. Everything that somehow got sunlight quickly became damp.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
From 35 degrees upwards, the sluff appears, below that I couldn't observe anything. But it needs a certain steepness because there is a lot of fresh snow and it's not super fluffy. Drift snow is covered and was not visible today due to poor visibility. However, you couldn't miss the large cornices on the ridge. Fallen trees and fence posts are partly covered.
Overall impression
Nice day for a tour, not much going on. The Illertal was probably quite clear the whole time, but on the mountain east of it it snowed constantly until 1 pm with short interruptions. As it's difficult to estimate where the sun came through today, you could orientate yourself more in a W and N direction over the next few days.
