Exposition
Snow condition
There's not much missing for the 4th star, but at lower altitudes it's not enough in the forest. Above 1600m there are sometimes 2 meters in sheltered corners, which is about average for the time of year at this altitude. But you can drive over quite a bit, also because the snow is getting heavier at the bottom.
Snow quality
Yes, it's actually amazing throughout. Super fluffy at the top, from about 1500-1600m it gets a bit firmer. For the not-so-fat touring skis, which were with us today for weight reasons, it was really great there. For the sake of skiing enjoyment, you should definitely only go to steeper terrain, it is wonderfully deep.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Above the tree line there was an explicit warning about fresh drift snow, below that there was a 2. We could hardly see any signs of danger. The fresh snow fell very homogeneously and calmly, the wind only picked up a little towards the end. However, we were on a high plateau that is very sheltered from the NW side, so this was perhaps a bit of a special situation. All in all, we were also further up in partly (too) flat terrain.
Overall impression
Another really great day, even if we unfortunately didn't have such good visibility above the tree line, which was a bit unpleasant. But the larch forest was awesome. It's no fun on the flat and at the bottom you can only go all the way down on roads or open spaces.
