Exposition
Snow condition
Still very good. From the Giebelhaus you can still set off on skis without any problems. On the forest roads, however, the snow is slowly becoming poor.
Snow quality
Better than expected, we even discovered a bit of powder snow, even if it wasn't quite as good. Otherwise, it was consistently firny and of course there was also a bit of wet snow at the bottom.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
Daytime heating is probably the main problem. In some places it was so warm that a light cover formed, but this was only partially stable. Otherwise it was already slightly firny on the east side at 10 am.
Overall impression
We were out in the Hintersteiner Tal today and had great firn and even some powder snow. At the moment, however, you should be really early, as it's no longer below freezing at night and it starts to snow as early as 10am
