Overall impression
Altitude
1000 - 1700m
Avalanche warning level
considerable (3)
Exposition
Snow condition
absolutely sufficient. free choice of lines, in ascent and descent, possible.
Snow quality
above 1300m in expo n, still quite difficult, but easy to ride, pow. below that capped and rather unpleasant. in expo o, around 9h already soft.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
drifting snow is still an issue. today we (deliberately) triggered 2 smaller, dry snow slabs on the descent (approx. 1600m, expo n). it was quite easy! one person swinging down hard is enough.
Overall impression
after the information from cr colleague sumedum, it was a rather unusual ski tour today. with a very interesting ski mountaineering part and a quite spectacular couloir descent, completely in d. it's always amazing what a corona winter brings in terms of new knowledge of the area, and it was also great weather for taking photos ;-) without the snowboards it would have been 5 stars. tomorrow there will only be pow above about 1600m and only on the north side.
