Snow condition

Would give it 3* again. It can be ridden up to approx. 1100m on suitable terrain. Nothing works in the forest below approx. 1400 m, but above that it climbs massively and you can actually ride anything.

Snow quality

Very cool! The layer of old snow is noticeable, but much softer than after the dump last week. Unfortunately too warm at the bottom.

Unbound fresh snow that has fallen almost without wind. There is a massive amount of light sluff, which you should definitely be aware of! You also have to watch out for hard avalanche boulders from the warm days before, which are now partly covered in snow, and from approx. 1300m onwards for obstacles covered only by the current fresh snow.

Overall impression

Wahnsinnig geiler Tag im nordseitigen Steilgelände. Völlig alleine und im bewährten Team. Unten raus war's leider bissl langsam und wenig, aber für Mitte April mega. Teilweise heftiger Schneefall im Aufstieg. Morgen ist's schattseitig und hoch sicher auch noch sehr gut!
