Snow condition
Would give it 3* again. It can be ridden up to approx. 1100m on suitable terrain. Nothing works in the forest below approx. 1400 m, but above that it climbs massively and you can actually ride anything.
Snow quality
Very cool! The layer of old snow is noticeable, but much softer than after the dump last week. Unfortunately too warm at the bottom.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Unbound fresh snow that has fallen almost without wind. There is a massive amount of light sluff, which you should definitely be aware of! You also have to watch out for hard avalanche boulders from the warm days before, which are now partly covered in snow, and from approx. 1300m onwards for obstacles covered only by the current fresh snow.
Overall impression
Insanely awesome day in the north-facing steep terrain. Completely alone and in a proven team. Unfortunately it was a bit slow and not much at the bottom, but mega for mid-April. Partly heavy snowfall on the ascent. Tomorrow it's still very good on the shaded side and high up!
