Snow condition
You have to take a differentiated view. You can't get down into the valley anywhere, you have to walk long distances. On the other hand, in sheltered shady areas, there are fat pillows and powder banks from 1500m upwards.
Snow quality
In the shady areas, we had some of the best snow of the winter so far: lightly packed, fast, flowy powder, great for jumping. Everything that got sun yesterday has a crumbly top, but we were only there for a short time.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
We were traveling below 2000m today and were back down at noon, everything was very stable.
Overall impression
Yes, ok, I'll give it a 5, I haven't done that yet this year, but of course that's subjective. Even the long route and poor visibility outside the forest can't change that. It was the combination of steep pillowy terrain, great riding and awesome bouncy pow that flashed us so much today. mega! Thanks also to Alois, who is always a pleasure to ride with and who also took most of the photos here. Unfortunately I'm afraid it's going to rain a long way up, let's see. Maybe it will be better at the top.
