Snow condition
Of course, at this time of year, you have to put up with a long hike. But there was still plenty of snow at the top. Only directly at the summit (south side) it was already snowy and at the entrance to the Kistenkar it is also getting scarce.
Snow quality
beautiful firn descent and that at the end of April in the foothills of the Alps...
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
Note the diurnal warming. There were old avalanche cones on steep eastern slopes.
Overall impression
Another ski tour with only a 10-minute approach, but with a carrying route. From 1200m you can switch to skis. The weather was a little worse than expected. The clouds only cleared late. On the other hand, the descent was well timed. Beautiful firn at 11 o'clock. However, the entrance to the Kistenkar has only a little snow left, so from tomorrow you will certainly have to carry your skis down a few meters, because the snow patches between the rocks are no longer sufficient. I forced it today with skis and can now straighten my edges again. All in all, it was worth it again.
